Energy Conservation
- Use only the energy that you need. Turn off lights, television and computers when you’re not using them.
- Use energy efficient technology. Switch to compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs or LED's.
- Purchase Energy Star or high efficient appliances.
- If the appliance has a transformer on the electrical cord, or if it has a remote control, it uses electricity even when the appliance is turned off. Put these appliances on a power strip and turn the strip off when you’re not using it, or unplug the appliance.
- Add insulation to the attic and fix leaky windows and doors.
The Benefits to Energy Conservation
